A Eureka Capture vacuum that I found in the trash... a good example of something that should've been *left* in the trash...

  • BTW, two other things about this one. 1. Endcaps on the brushroll are METAL! = NO REPLACING BRUSHROLLS DUE TO BAD BEARINGS!! Unlike Bissells. 2. This one's HEPA filter is True HEPA, HEPA H12, just like Miele uses. It is a SEALED HEPA system. Most people don't realize there are THREE different grades of HEPA: 1. H10, like Bissell uses, 2. HEPA H11 bags, like Hoover & Kirby use, & then HEPA H12, or "S-Class" in Europe. Now, I dare anyone to walk into Walmart & get those features for under $200.

  • @robwalton2007 Yes, the brushroll ends are metal, but they are only bronze bushings. They actually need more attention than bearing brushrolls because the bushings should be lubricated. Granted, though, the motor will probably fail or one of the other plastic parts will break before the brushroll bushings fail. The problem with the plastic end brushrolls is hair and fuzz gets wrapped around the end of the brushroll and causes it to melt. That will cause the failure of *any* brushroll.

  • GeneralOne....just so ya know, these Eureka Captures are just loud like that. I went to visit my friend Luke before the holidays, & a friend of his gave him one of these. Like yours, it was missing the undercarriage & needed new filters, so took care of that. It was just as loud as yours. Still, when you consider this is a $160 Walmart vacuum, it's decent for mass marketed junk & seems to clean decently. And also MUCH easier than most filtered bagless vacuums to clean the filter & bin out.

  • @robwalton2007 They may be loud, but this one definitely has a problem. Either the fan is off balance, has something stuck in it, or the armature of the motor has gone off balance. Never got around to taking it apart to find out. Yeah. Just like I've said about my Bissell, it is basically junk, but it's fairly decent for what it is and the price.

  • gehehehe i have eureka pet pall

  • God that thing is so ugly. In 2008 I was at the mall shopping for shoes and I heard this noise that I thought was one of the burglar alarms, so I went to take a look next door and I discovered their was this lady in LensCrafters the eyeglasses shop, and she was using a Eureka Capture and it did the same noise it sounded like a really loud storm warning siren. Except is wasn't that nasty lime green color it was orange. It was the worst vacuum noise I've ever heard in my life!

  • @general0ne the vacuum manufacture must have some replacement wheels and that thing sounds like crap instead of sounding like it came out of the box brand new

  • might get one tomorrow for $10

    is it worth it?

  • @eureka800 did you HEAR it lol?

  • @general0ne whats the problem with the eureka?
