ive never really liked alves, but i shouldnt under-estimate people, maybe he'll hit GSP in the back of the head like serra did to win. you never know what will happen.

Yeah, but he's actually done better at like 44 than at like 39. Liddell's skills are diminishing quickly while Couture is as good or better than in his late 30's. Liddell's style hurts him to. Too old and slow to throw/avoid punches the way he used to. Couture clinches and wrestles.. so it's safer.

AGREED!! GSP will beat alves, with no struggle, just my opinion, who good has alves beat ? dont say hughes, hes not near as good as he used to be, dont say koscheck, cause i dont think koscheck is any good at all, all of alves's wins are to fighters that arent as good as they used to be, or to fighters that 70% of people havent even heard of, who here has heard of Ansar Chalangov, not many people can say theyve heard of him.

I don't think Hughes was EVER that good. Guys just weren't well rounded enough and strong enough back in the day to beat him. Now they're all both. Koscheck is good, but he took that fight on like, two weeks notice. That'll screw anyone up. Alves will do this: Takedown, pass guard, ground n pound, repeat.. Unless Alves gets lucky and catches GSP with one big punch, he has very little chance against GSP.

Woah. I didn't even notice that. I was thinking Wanderlei was like 34 and Franklin was like 31. Thanks for catching that. They look totally backwards. That's kinda like Nog being so young when he looks 40 or more.
