This is a video I made for a class on Clinical Depression.

I had to change the music because they took my video down because of copyright laws. I'm going to upload it again soon with different music.

Also, about the religious views in the video. Yes, I AM a Christian, a believer in Jesus Christ as God. Also, I went to a Christian High School (quite a few years ago when I made this video). I made this video for a class IN my CHRISTIAN school, so obviously I'm using religious references. I believe faith can be a big part in overcoming depression, and not just Christian faith. Any faith really.

  • the emo part is clearly a joke geez.

  • @lovethebeatbox

THANK YOU! Finally someone gets it.

  • Ok . . . for the millionth time . . . I know what emo is. I know it's a music style and all that. I KNOW it's a stereotype to label emo kids as being "depressed" . . . cuz it's just NOT true. Keep in mind . . . I made this video 5 YEARS ago, when I was in high school. I went to a private Christian school where kids that dressed in the emo fashion were often introverts who weren't super happy about life. My friend Trent, who is the "emo" in the vid, thought it would be funny to include.

  • ok . . . so I made this video with a friend (the short haired girl in the video). She thought it would be funny to put the "emo" thing in. Looking back on it, I admit it was a stupid idea . . . but oh well! Also, I defenitely know you don't have to be emo to be depressed. ;-) I know many "emo" kids who are pretty damn happy! So yeah.

  • Well, the song is "I'm not OK . . . I Promise" . . . you know, and the theme is depression, so I thought it kind of fit.

Also, as for the religious views, I went to a Christian High School (as I myself am a Christian) and we were required to incorporate some Scripture and stuff into our project.

  • good! Clinical Depression is often overlooked, so it's good to seek help.

  • 4:58 never happens. the meds only help a bit, and just make it a little more bearable. and plus, you aren't supposed to take them dry. you need milk or food with all of them. Pills never work that fast, and there isn't an instant happy pill. also, meds, if taken by young people, can permanently mess up the brain and make it close to impossible to handle stress. get your facts straight before helping someone. could make the difference between helping and pushing it further along.

  • you dont have to be emo to be depressed

    you clearly dont know shyt

    fuck you

  • What did you mean by emo? I am in the USA and don't understand. I liked it all except for the emphasis on medication. Medication is the LAST resort as it has side effects and is generally not very effective, according to the latest review of the research. Also, depression is NOT largely inherited. It comes from avoiding taking action and from losses. I LOVED your emphasis on faith, which DOES help depression.

  • Emo is music...not depression or self-injury U.U

  • pls

  • pls put back original or send to me - it means a great deal to me - a useful tool to use in my recovery x

  • pls pls put back the jc and mcr music - it helps loads x
