Instructions on how to throw a 12-6 (overhand) curveball.

Over 10,000 views! Woooohooo! Thanks the for the comments (and no thanks for some of them!).
Note: Mistake in instructions, the curveball should be thrown on the finger tips, as opposed to what the video says. A ball deeper in the palm actually loses a lot of spin, which is NOT what you want with a curve. The only pitch that should be thrown deep in the palm is any sort of change up (straight, circle or palmball).
Sorry for the mistake.

  • yo man everyone chill

first of all dont post comments saying that he dosent know what hes talking about

    cause YOUd ont

side spin dosent change the drop

    your on crack

    but work on your fastball

    it lacks

    no offense

  • Thanks, and yeah i know the fastball was pretty lame...

  • first of all, your elbow needs to be above your shoulder for ful capable break. and curveballs dont have foward spin, they have side to side spin for an up and down break. dont post videos if you dont know what your doing

  • First of all, the elbow's height in this video is mainly used for demonstration. I know that you need to get the elbow high up to "pull down" the ball. Second of all, a curveball will curve DOWN with FORWARD spin, and the ball will curve SIDEWAYS with SIDEspin. Plus if your curve has sidespin, it will probably be crushed and will ruin your arm. Maybe you should do your homework before you decide to comment on a video.

  • cubs suck

  • Wow...can't you think of anything more original than (fill in the blank) sucks? Something about your sexual orientation must prompt you to express your interest in a supposed "hidden" way. Don't worry, there is help. Unfortunately for people like you who have such a LOW intelligence level, you will never find the help you need. You think that expressing your sexual interests on the internet is the only way to satisfy your fantasies. I would pity you...but...no....

    g00d luck, n00bl3t!!!!!!!

  • it works but you can get more break if u hold it so the 2 seam fastball seams are parallel to you in a horizontal position, while your fingers are curved along the seam in teh same way, you barley need to flick your wrist and iv noticed it still curves.

  • Wrong way to throw the curve. Your mechanics suck. Your fastball was so slow that it came in on an arc.

  • It mechanics r terrible and I don't hold it in your palm because it will hang and youll get ur shit rocked

  • Could video, poor mechanics. no offense.....I just think you need to get a descent set.

  • this is the wrong way to throw, if you dont know how to whip ur throwing forearm your in for a hurtful season. everyone listen up work on your fastball mechanics if ur not hitting 86-95mph on your fastball then you need to learn the right mechanics. If not u can kiss your baseball career goodbye with shoulder problems and elbow problems.

  • @kevdiv48 a curveball with side spin is whats known as a slider, and they dont tend to be crushed.....

  • @SimpleStuff31 lmao i did too.

  • Go cubs.. All I'm gona say. ( cuz that's the only nice thing i hav 2 say)

  • thanks

  • actually u suk....wrong fukin grip
