In the 16mm installations I create- I shoot on 16mm using a bolex then - handprocessing and optically printing at LIFT (liasion of independent filmmakers of Toronto) - they have artist residencies, and post production equipment, small grants... etc. they have a good website... I have shown my work with galleries over here- however it would be great to branch out and see what other artist are up to... please let me know if you have any ideas about where too go...

Ok so we are working whith the same tool. I work whith a little gallery the name is "the film gallery" or "re-voir" in paris. They have a gallery and home edition for experimental films.

Otherwise I schow my work at some festival in france or in europe. We make a performance that we will play at the wro biennale (wroclaw, poland), video ex (zurich) in may. You can see were I was working with google and ask for my name silvi simon. There is a web site exprmntl or cinéastes. They put some information for some festval. The association Burstscratch in strasbourg some times show some films from other people also.

I don't know what to say most. It's not easy to schow those kind of films in europe. Sometimes I'm a teacher too...

Thank you for your interest! When I saw your work, I was also touched. It is a little bit similar. We have a home-made laboratory of development of film in Strasbourg. And I made mainly installations with my films. How work you in Canada?? (sorry for my bad english)
