This video demonstrates how dogs learn to target a mark. Targeting a mark is used in the movies to get dogs to move to a designated mark in order to get the shot. It is used in the home to get dogs to ring a bell to go out, go to bed, or even to teach retreiving. Targeting is a useful tool for teaching dogs to do things you can't with luring.
