  • The pick looks like a scraper, I've never seen this instrument before to be honest. Some very beautiful music in there.

  • The pick is called a Bachi. It is made from tortoise shell, making it a very strong, yet slightly flexible. It is what gives the instrument its distinctive "striking" sound.

  • god dam!

  • the riff that starts at 0:33 blows my mind haha. this is a great performance, cheers!

  • It really sounds lighter and more gentle. :)

"inspired by thoughts of sugarplums and dandelions.." Are you referring to Tampopo and Ume? Grant-san.....I'm not too sure if your poetic prose ties to the 4 seconds of splendid outcry in the beginning...

  • A lot of this solo (mainly the beginning) is structured around the song "Those Who Know..." by Estradasphere. (Of which Kmetz is a member)

Being here, you all probably know this.

  • I want to learn this instrument.

any advice on materials for learning?

    any tips for a beginner?
