@Finnigan74 I know you are only trying to help, but if you only knew my story... I think you'd understand that you really don't know where I'm coming from or what I've tried.
Also, some people are just luckier than others. I am luckier than some, and some are luckier than me. However, I believe that health care should be treated as more of a "right" than a "privilege," and I trust the government to ensure something like that better than privately-run insurance companies.

starbucks and grocery stores...any union job really will give you insurance for working there...take the civil service test and u get sweet insurance. I want you to have contacts so you can see. Like...I know where you are coming from, but we can't run to big brother for everything

I know you're frustrated, but we are all struggling...my husband works three jobs and I work, go to school, and work an unpaid internship....We got loans for school and paid for it ourselves. We get health insurance through school and work....You need to try all you can to get insurance before you take it out on others.

Xander i feel you and hope politics don't destroy us but it is the gay community responsibility for us and to speak up. We are discriminated in the gay community as well some have included trans gender to there EEOC clause but remember your transition is who you are read up before you go all the way in surgery. Being transgender for 25 years it feels like we get raped by the system over and over equal rights to all and health care too !!!
Love you

@starryeyes2007 I think it's our responsibility, too. Ideally, it wouldn't have to be, but in reality we have to make ourselves known and visible, and our voices heard if we are going to get anything done. Don't forget our allies and other minority groups as well - i's important for us to support them as well, so that we can all stand up and fight for equal rights together as one collective human race. Our struggles may vary, but we're all sharing life and this world together.
Love you, too!
