Say, there is one cartoon I am looking for but I just can't find any leads. Not sure what period is it from but it revolves around 2 creatures (one pink, one brown, they look more or less like squirrels, seem to be magical) that travel around the world and tell tales whenever they come across an event. One story from it: the story about a bronze boar statue and boy who was allowed by the statue to take pieces of it to help the people around him who needed money.
