  • Can you post the recipe it really really looked good?

I like it thick and pasty. I got some once from a Scottish specialty shop that were loose and crumbly.

"Making Oatmeal Cranberry Turnovers Part 1 " (this u tube video is about technique) check it out it's actually Scottish Oatmeal Turnovers that I use. The original filling was a date paste.

  • @Inteligento sorry i dont have the recipe. that was something lionel made when we shot it and he is no longer with us to ask.

  • Hi Lionel,

Thanks for posting this video its great to see that someone can still recite this fantastic poem the way its ment to be done. It has taken me about three days to trail through the other cringing, bad translation and other foreign crap listed on this medium.

The subtitles & your presentation helped our kids understand the poem so you have made new fans here. I bet even Rabbie himself would be pleased.

All the very best and well done.

Wha's like us - obviously no many !!

  • hey atholldein,

im glad you liked the video, but felt compelled to note that i am the director and editor.. lionel did give an awesome performance, but there WAS another team member here.

  • Hi

Sorry if it sounded as if I missed you out - of course the star needed someone to hold the camera !

  • yeah, its a little more complicated that being a warm body to hold the camera. why dont you shoot a video this good and let me know how it goes?

  • @Atholldein I am so sorry to hear of Lionel's passing, very sad news. I remember putting the band up when they played at Dartford, many years ago, He will live on in his music as his songs are sung all over. My son and I sing them at whatever folk club we go to, and will continue to do so, my wee girl (12yrs) sing them also, take care, my thoughts are with you, xxxx

  • Very sadly - lionel died of a heart attack - at home on monday 6th september 2010.

Please pass this video on to as many people as possible - that would be the most fitting memorial...
