Mazda RX-8 Vs. 420 HP Audi R8 at VIR Grand East.

Chasing an Audi R8 around Viriginia International Raceway during the MazdaDriverS.com event on June 14, 2009. Able to catch him a bit in the twisties, but just can't keep up with the power. Mistake letting the BMW by, as they hesitated to pass and cost me all my momentum. Stinkin' Bimmers always ruin my fun. ;-)

My car is an otherwise stock 2005 RX-8 with Koni shocks, BFG R1 tires, Hawk HP+ front pads, and B&B muffler. Camera is a Creative Labs Vado HD.

Great stuff. Can see the R8 didn't have a much experienced track driver with early breaking and that, but the power in that thing is just insane!

By the way, how did you set up your camera in the car?

The mount is a Panavise model 809 suction cup mount stuck on the windshield. It's under $20 generally and is very well made.

lol, on the straights the audi flies away, but the rx8 beats him on the turns, such great cars
