I believe this is the original version of the film and classic song. The arrangement sounds different than what I remember but I'm probably remembering Everybody Sleeps. Song by Joe Raposo.

i remember as a child, the part with the boy riding his bike whole eating a banana (at the beginning) and the person feeding the hippo. i thought the animal at the cery end was a giraffe but as i watched this, i saw it was a camel.
