Frankie, Matthew and Josie, 1990--Investigations and Invitations

Josie is not happy when Matthew calls Frankie to investigate the break-in and ransacking of her apartment following the disturbing fan mail on Felicia's talk show. (This is because it would be revealed later in 1990 that Josie was doing these things herself in order to remain in the headlines.) Frankie finds it strange that the alleged stalker/burglar didn't take a souvenir. Josie says maybe she just hasn't noticed what's missing yet. Matthew tells her she'd better take a look around. Josie refuses to call the police, which makes Matthew unhappy, but Frankie understands Josie's reasons, especially the one about not wanting to upset Sharlene. Matthew leaves to attend a press conference honoring Grant Harrison after asking Josie to please talk to Frankie. Frankie notices the strain between the young couple, but Josie assures her that everything will be fine. Frankie happily says she wants both Josie and Matthew in a party mood by Friday, which reminds Josie that Friday is the night of Cass and Frankie's engagement party. Josie is going to invite Matthew to the party, and tells Frankie that once she gets things worked out with Matthew, everything will be okay.
