Search and Rescue earthquake training - Eilat Israel

A comprehensive earthquake scenario took place in Eilat, Israel. This film is about the Eilat search and rescue brigade. Training was held day and night over 4 consecutive days, in a real abundant neighborhood that was demolished for the training.

I hope so!

I'm a religious guy and think we should have faith in Hashem, but we still should prepare ourselves. I don't always have such emunah in Medinat Yisrael and contractors.

since 1991 gulf war every house in israel most have mamad(reinforced concret room) .

this room suppose to help u in missile attack but i think that also in earthquke it can help.

even if you live on high story building and it collapses , the mamad can rise your chances of survival . no?

A massive earthquake is the biggest immediate threat Israel faces, not Iranian nukes or terrorism. We have good search and rescue techniques (on the positive side) but I fear Israel is not prepared for a massive earthquake in terms of how the buildings are reinforced, many buildings here are old and not up to code. The public and politicians ignore this very real threat and focus only on the security issue. I hope something can be done to lessen the disaster before it's too late!
