Tony Sanchez wrote the best book {by far} on the Rolling Stones {and I read them all. His book best captured them and the dynamics of the band. I'm biased but I thought their best period as a band {not neccesarily song writing} was the Mick Taylor era from 1969-1973. {72' really} IMO any great band or solo artist has a certain 6 or 7 yr "shelf life" when they are at their peak and the Stones weren't great song writers after 72'. Keith loved drugs. Like many heroin addicts he graduated to alcohol

yeah i read in Tony Sanchez book that Keith went on OGWT and nodded off half way through cos he was off his head. I think Keith mentions it in his book too. whether it was edited out maybe. but sanchez said it was live. probably sanchez talking crap.
