high hopes in velvet ropes ♣

where to start? ... Well I guess I can say I'm justifiably proud of this. I'm not saying it's the best AMV EVER MADE, but I did have an idea of what I was gonna do before I started this and I surpassed my own expectations. Not something that happens every day! XD

What I was trying to achieve here was a feelgood video. And...this, this is my definition of a feelgood video. Lipsync, effecty, lots of experimenting and colors, a good upbeat song, and...Just a little bit suggestive. ;D

I'd had the idea to put in text quite early on starting this, and by that time I had a lot of goals set for myself. Firstly was to at least partially overcome my weakness with colors. Now, simply put, I have SHITTY color coordination. So I tried to make the hues flow with this.
Secondly was to be stylish, heavy AND original with effects. I don't know how I did with this. You're the judge of that.
Thirdly was to make the video so engaging and so filled with eye-candy that you watch it once just to absorb all the major details, then rewatch to see the smallish little things that I did. :D

Anyway!
Statistics, I guess. I started this video definitely more than a month ago. Yes, I edit slow. Two reasons: 1 - I am a diehard perfectionist, 2 - I often have 298041092 projects going on at the same time. But this project quickly overtook everything else and became my main project. Why? Well simply because it was (to me) such a creative idea AND OH GOD IT WAS SO FUN. I haven't enjoyed editing like this in a long time. This video was my drug for about a month, and now I'm almost sad it's over xD


Whatever. I feel this is the best work I've ever produced and will produce for a while, so...Live it up until I get a special idea like this again. :D


Oh, and one more thing! Watch it to the very end! Please! I get heaps better as the vid progresses, I think. once I hit the instrumental bit, that was the peak. :D Everything kind of builds up to the grand finale of the ending, lol.
