  • I had a 99 323i before this as you may know and I did a manual swap (videos on my page). It made a HUGE difference in the car, but still lacks the grunt of the 330i.

I have seen dyno sheets of a modded 323 hitting 185 wheel hp and a ZHP in stock trim puts 205 or so the wheels. Only you can decide, but I say get the 330.

  • I can still use my cruise control after a manual conversion, right?

  • @flipfinish

I think I'll just buy a nice OEM summer set of wheels and hire someone to a manual conversion. Mine is a 162k miles, lots of life left on it ( I was told by the Indy that took care of it for the previous owner that it would easily get to 300k.)

How much would having a manual conversion done cost nowadays?

  • Congrats. I currently have a 99' 323...should I just save my money to buy a 330 instead of doing a manual conversion, xenon retrofit, etc?

  • you are having a lot of fun with your new ride :) Congrats again and keep on knowing you're invaluable to the community :)
