From The Little Mermaid Broadway Workshop, here's a demo recording of If Only sung by the fantastic Kerry Butler as Ariel and Stephen R. Buntrock as Eric. It has been confirmed that these parts will not be played by these singers on Broadway.

This is so much better than what actually went in the musical. I was dying for an actual love song between the two of them. Almost every other Disney movie gets one.

They should had included this in the movie. It gives so much insight on how Ariel and Eric feel for each other. The audience actually witnesses the moment in which they fall in love, and really grows with them. without this there is definitely a big gap. Without it Ariel and Eric to many seem to be immature.
