You know,ever since that day in 2011 august the 19th i found out my best friend left me an offline message she was going to leave yahoo messenger with a link to this song i just couldn't understand what it was about.....knowing what it is now helps a little even if i'll still never know why she really left.....but thanks for the explanation anyway....

Ha, Same here my friend, same here, I haven't owned a VCR in about 7 years but I still have a good number of VHS lying around the house, 'Fly Away Home' being one of them.

I saw it on tv the other day and it brought back great memories of the 90's, my childhood, and a wonderful film, it hasn't lost any of its quality, and this is till a hauntingly good song!

I know the original interpretation is about two lovers being separated but lyrics speak to everyone in different ways. This song could very easily literally be about the separation of death. I think this song is beautiful and personal and emotional and is definitely something I want played at my funeral.
