I think he may have emphysema. He just has no power at all. He sounds totally breathless on notes that shouldn't be difficult to hit. Something is wrong. He's not that old.

@tieyourmotherdown1 All I said was that he sounded horrible in this video!! You are an idiot for assuming i think he cant sing anymore. He definetly CAN still sing his ass off, but in this video he sounds like shit. I own all of Jethro Tull's albums/CD's and I am a big fan of the group. I have seen them live a couple of times and the shows were great. As far as me being the new singer.........I couldn't hit a note if my life depended on it! :) Let's agree on one thing..Tull still Rocks!!!!

@BigMFnD1972 What a idiotic thing to say. You need to realize something. He's been singing for 40 years now. Sure his voice isn't what it used to be, but he still sounds great. Maybe you would sound better. You should be the new singer.

OK gang you should condsider this. Ian does not have to do this anymore. He could have retired long ago and you would not even have this. Yeah his voice is not what it used to be. Trust me it happens. I played pro for 30 plus years and it just aint that easy to get outta bed and go and do it with the same chops you started with. Respect him for what he is and remember him for what he was (and to my mind anyway still is). I will still see them every chance I am given. Peace everyone.
