This is a video taken from a live performance for our friend Megan's 3rd Year Final Recital at Humber College in Toronto. She asked our quartet "Rendezvous" (formally Aural Fixation) to sing backup for one of her tunes. Originally, it's meant for mixed voices, but with Danny and Brodie in the group, we got Soprano and Alto pretty well covered. We were still reading the music at the point but it's a nice little song.

Unfortunately I had woken up from a nap 30 minutes prior to the performance (I do this a lot) and had not warmed up my voice... oh well. I took the audio direct from the soundboard and my friend Ben took video with my camera (crappy I know). As the video goes on it starts to get out of sync with the audio, but i don't care enough to fix it. So tough.

Enjoy!

  • Haha thanks. The audio is actually direct from the mixing board. I just edited it and sync-ed it to the video.

  • Ref: your comment: "So tough." I'm still laughing (through the tears). I must more to Canada before I cash in my chips. I've long been a fan of the "Beaver" country.

  • Hats off!!!

Great rendition. I remember this song as a big hit on AM radio back in the mid-60's, part of the sound-track of the rites my coming of age. You guys do it perfect justice.

  • Ha! We're doing this song in my choir class. =3

  • This version sounds very good. I'm impressed. I rarely give compliments.

I'm a Humber College graduate myself. I graduated in 1989 with a Film & Television diploma.

It really was a pleasant surprise to see some Humber College talent on YouTube. I say it with genuine praise.

    Thanks.

  • when on earth did this go up of us?? haha and why was I not informed? hah sweet
