if i wanted to make a beginner home made wood fuel booster or mpg helper, would you give me some tips on the build?? i just wanted to know if its possible to route the exit exhaust from the end of the tailpipe through a coil of copper piping around a stainless steel container full of saw dust and route the gasses through more copper tubing to the air intake manifold?? would this do anything?? or am i better off trying this setup with cooking oil?
@kokopelli314 not really, wood gas can be lethal in closed spaces (it's mostly nitrogen, carbon monoxide). Normally the engine creates negative pressure in the vessel, so the air keeps flowing in, however in some cases (engine stalls or is turned off) the pressure ramps up a bit and smoke starts leaking out.
@caboflyguy was that really necessay to call me filthy, vile names because you don't agree with me? You aren't exactly a rocket scientist trying to prove your point by using profanity. UR blocked.

Would it make sense to put the gasifier inside the van?

@Transane what do you have to back your facts up? You can't just call people out saying they have no facts when you have none yourself.
The wood gas isn't corrosive to everything - if the engine is converted properly it can live a long life.

well that's cool

it will destroy the engine. the gas that comes off of the wood is HIGHLY corrosive.
unless if you did this conversion effectively, and have videos and experience to prove it, you have nothing to back you up.

No it wont destroy the engine if you convert it properly.
your man did something wrong.
especially with woodgas you can do a lot of errors.
