What is a patriot?
An American flag drapes the coffin of every fallen hero and is ceremoniously folded and presented to the grieving family.
An American flag is bestowed on every serviceman and woman upon retirement.
But what about the thousands of brave men and women who are currently risking their lives to defend our flag?
What about first responders who put their lives on the line to protect others?
And what about those who keep the home fires burning as loved ones serve in faraway places on our behalf?

It is standard
The backwards flag patch on a soldier's shoulder is like that so the leading edge of the flag (starfield) leads the direction when charging into battle.
The flag is viewed from the viewpoint of a the heart, the patch on the shoulder has the stars on the upper left of the flag, it's correct position. Same with flags that are vertically hung from the face of a building.

0:33 soldier's uniform has backwards flag, why? is this standard now? isn't that disrespectful?
not as disrespectful as the fact the flags draped over fallen soldiers coffins are made in China.
patriots love their country not their flags.
