La Lupe is incredible. I can watch this hundreds of times and never get tired of it. Two stunning performances from the Myrta Silva show in Puerto Rico. I hope more old tapes of her surface. I saw La Lupe at Carnegie Hall in 1969 and she rocked.

I was 14yrs. old in 1977 when I first saw her at the Puerto Rico theater in the Bronx. She will always be the first true Diva of the world. I will always love you a Godess.

compared to other performances that i have seen up to now, this one - even though on film on youtube - seems so intense... ....horizon widened.

Thanks martdavid84. I envy those who saw her at Latin clubs in the early 60s. At Carnegie Hall I remember her doing several smoking numbers before she sat on a stool and did a slew of emotional songs that had many women in the audience crying. Honestly my father, not an emotional man, had tears in his eyes though he understood zero Spanish. It was that powerful. After that she pulled her wig off and all hell broke loose. One of the best shows that I have ever attended
