Unsold pilot for the WB network, produced in 2003 - 2004. An update of the original "Lost In Space" plot, with some interesting twists.

  • Check out the straps on the actors, especially Will. I suppose these would've been painted out before the pilot was actually broadcast, had it sold. Or maybe the aliens were trying out some new luggage straps...

  • GMAFB! (Figure out the acronym for yourself.) This is so fscking stupid it almost defies belief. Yes, the LIS movie was just as stupid, but it was at least mildly entertaining. This was just stoopid. The aliens looked like the Sleestak from "Land of the Lost." Nice touch to have Maureen's jacket torn, though.

  • So... Will's "invisible" harness wires,1:20 would have been edited out in post-production eh?

  • It starts to get good here the vacuum sucking them out is cool and the chaos is good for a pilot there needs to be action so it makes an impression

  • Judy is an idiot. They can make her vulnerable without making her an idiot. The action is decent, but my god ... the relational stuff is awful.

  • alien gangsta kill?

  • They made one of the same BIG mistakes that the movie did. You DON'T change the Jupiter 2. i'll say one thing, they did manage to have aliens that are as hokey looking as the ones in the old series. I am impressed with the practical effect on the guns, though. It looks like they were butane fueled like the gun in "Logan's Run". Cheap but effective. No post production fx needed, just live on set pyrotech.

  • Explosive decompression doesn't permit even shouted conversation -- its noise is like a freight train tht's roaring close by everyone. Also, even candy wrappers and bobby pins become painful missiles, flying through the air FAST. Their faces should have been distorted by the pressure of >100 MPH buffeting winds; the eyes can barely open to slits under such conditions. And the breath is just a shallow uh-uh-uh-uh , due to constriction and a sudden, intense cold.

  • at least the God Awful 90's movie kept the original concept, this is so freakin stupid, like some executive was on cocaine when they came up with this

. For some reason have feeling the aliens were not aliens but some type of body armor and possibly humans underneath

  • The robot appears in later but he is just looks like a C3PO reject. Not like the heavy duty Power Tank from before. Weak writing and too many changes from the original. Do like the updated style and modernization but when you take away too many key elements, things get lost in translation.

  • @CaptainNomura

The original was campy, often silly and had low production values. I don't think this version is much worse in those regards.
