Went to Sri Lanka last sumer and loved the place and it's people so much. I felt ignorant not knowing that much of the language and I hope to improve my spoken ( and general ability to understand )Tamil for i would dearly love to revisit some day! :)

This is completely wrong!!!!
The girl on here is NOT tamil! I've tried the phrase "Yepdi irukkeenga" and it is NOT translated correctly. It is mispelled!!
I wouldn't trust these videos, as Tamil SHOULD be learned in it's original form, because the transliteration attempts produce "Another" language.
Nice try, but you are about as Tamil as I am Shiva!

In Sri Lanka it is pronounced TAMIL and not TAMIZH.
Furthermore, in English it is always spelled as TAMIL, and the spelling Tamizh makes no sense, if you want to use the spelling pronunciation, you can write it as Tamir. Tamil ZH is pronounced like American R, but not as American ZH.
