2007 gewann Leona Lewsi die Musik-Castingshow «The X Factor», das englische Pendant zu «MusicStar». Nun zählt die 22-jährige Sängerin Leona Lewis aus London bereits zu den Top-Stars.
Ihre erste CD «Spirit» war im Mutterland des Pop ein Renner, und die aktuelle Single «Bleeding Love» stürmt zur Zeit die europäischen Charts. Schon als die damalige Pizza-Hut-Angestellte noch um ihren Sieg in «The X Factor» bangte, hatten zwei mächtige Produzenten ihr Talent entdeckt und ihr einen lukrativen Vertrag angeboten. Der Erfolg von Lewis gibt den beiden recht. Zuerst ist nun Europa dran, doch längerfristig will die erfolgreiche Newcomerin den Atlantik überqueren und auch in den USA zeigen, was sie drauf hat.
Ihr erster Fernsehauftritt auf dem Kontinent absolvierte sie in «Benissimo».

I wish you actually listened to Mariah as she sounds NOTHING like Mariah at all I suggest you go listen to Vanishing All in your mind Emotions Mariah ... they both have absoloutley nothing in common at all

i don't understand why people accuse her of lip singing when we heard her sing live on the x factor and she was freakin awesome. she doesn't have to lip sing with that voice.

My god.... she has grown in confidence so much, this has to be one of her best performances of Bleeding Love! she sang it note perfect through out, and looks stunning. Go Leona!
