  • More variety back in the old days, thats what I like about the memories, most of them being 56s. Usually 66s and 92s on enterprises out of Arpley, not 60s and very rarely 67s on enterprises now.

  • Approx 20 Class 66's run out of Arpley per day.

There was less 37's in 1993 as there are 66's now. This is because the work was shared between 31's, 37's, 47's, 56's and 60's. Also there was substantially more Enterprise 'trip' work out of Arpley in 1993 than there is today.

  • How many 66s run out of Arpley a day? This was 1993, I was five months old, people didnt even know what a GM was back then, so really there was probably the same amount of 37s as there is 66s now. Transrail was a sub-division of British Rail, and nothing is ever based at a yard unless it is stored.

  • Used to run out of there loads of times, and it was Transrail, i think, have a look at his other videos...

  • 37901 was never based here, and Transrail never owned Arpley, British Rail did

  • Didnt you know it was based there with Transrail when they owned Arpley?

  • Wow, 37901, the tractor that wanted to be a tug! I was five months old when this was taken! Good stuff!
