  • Could you please tell me where this was filmed and if this was some sort of festival? If I am going to New Orleans where in the state do I want to go if I want real Cajun/Creole music and real Creole/Cajun food? You know, where the food, music, and people are great and the tourist are scarce! Thanks

  • That would be any where's in Acadiana, between Baton Rouge and Lake Charles. The footage was filmed at Chicot State Park. There is a Festival called the Dewey Balfa Heritage Week. ... Had some Good times there too.

  • @ericbreaux You're going to the wrong place. You need to go to Cajun Country...Southwest Louisiana. The small cities that no one talks about. Like the zydeco capital...Opelousas, La

  • @Dieudonne357, It was filmed 10 miles north of Opelouses.

  • J'peux pas arreter la jambe!

  • @Dieudonne357 i am not trying to be rude either. Yes i met some good old cajuns in that area it was rare . But it is over run by spoiled whinny people mostly. It like new orleans nothing is cajun about new orleans. bunch of city folk who would cry if they saw a nutria rat. I am from thibodaux aera a place called chackbay louisiana.

  • @Dieudonne357 you must think i am not from this state right? For one i lived out in the SW for a while when i met a girl from Eunice. we later moved to Lafayette i worked for Oceaneering. I yearned for the deep south while i was there. Most people i met around me were cocky smart ass and full of them selves. Cajuns who couldn't make a roux to save their lives and couldn't cook a good Courtbouillion.

  • @Dieudonne357 Heh

  • @Sigmapyrosity and another thing...I wasn't trying to be rude but the areas you listed aren't the deepest concentration of my people actually we are all over the state.

  • @Sigmapyrosity Tu connai une chose? Ca c'est tout de la nionniotte. Creole et Cajun vie en le bayous a le region por plus cent ans. Besides tell that to me and my family and my wifes family. My family is from Cecile & Lafayette which is along I-10 and my wife folk is from carencro which sits damn near on the highway and we r "card carrying" creole or Negre Cajun whutever you wanna call us... Mon ami you have no Idea. Our people even go as far north as natchitoces and as deep as plaquimine

  • @Dieudonne357 anything about I-10 isnt cajun. Deep south like lafourche and terribonne praish is where its at.

  • @partcreole i'm with you mon famille....

  • nobody better get on here bashin ma fams culture

  • @qmac10 The real Cajun/Creole/Arcadian/French-Creole are all over the great state. You can't miss a one, stop in any truck stop mon ami and ask there. New Orleans, my friend, is but one touch of the fine south that makes up this great state. Go with some nice Jumbalaya, don't mess around with too much if you're not used to alot of spice. Don't touch the boudan if you're not real southern.
