Van Halen - Down In Flames

This is a live recording from 1978 when the band thought they were putting this on Van Halen II. They actually turned it into You;re No Good. Cool tune, enjoy

Dude...I will have to boost my VH I.Q. I "thought" I knew everything about the band. Where are you getting this material? Someone wrote LimeWire.

Agreed. None of the glam metal/hair metal bands could come close to anything VH did. They copied them, but in all the wrong places. :)

you are so right. I dont for instance like bon jovi our cindirella, but van halen has a sound off progresssive funky blues.

Down in Flames is one of the great lost classics of vintage VH. They did a ripping version of this tune New Years Eve 77 at The Whiskey

That riff at 1:00 is a perfect example of how Ed used to kick his MXR Flanger on and off for rhyhmic emphasis.
