Shattering the Skies Above guitar and vocal cover

This is my FIRST ever guitar and vocal cover!!! It's a cover of the most recent Trivium song featured on the God Of War 3 soundtrack, it's called "Shattering the Skies Above".
This is a live video, so I play through the whole song with no edits on my guitar (which I'm playing lead with the high harmony) or my vocals.

Okay, I got a better question...

How did you learn to sing and play such complex things hand in hand?

I mean, I can sing it and with a few days practice I could play it, but combining the two is just a big ? to me. Any advice?

Just practice! That's all I did! I'm a lot better now, I was actually gonna make a new Shattering guitar and vocal cover, but I've been working on my band's upcoming EP, so I've been busy.
