Hey guys! Welcome back to ClevverMusic, I'm Bridget Daly in Hollywood. Big news out of The Voice today—none other than Kelly Clarkson is joining the show! The New York Post reports that Kel has signed on to be a mentor for Blake Shelton's team of contestants for season two!
She'll reportedly be helping Blake's picks along their journey on the show, and that she won't appear on it til March or April. Clarkson has spoken out about her love of the competition show, saying in an interview quote, "The thing I love about 'The Voice' is that they're more mentors — they're not judges, adding, "I would never really want to be a judge, just because I don't want to break people's hearts."

The Voice was BBC's answer to compete with ITV's X Factor in the UK. Why is America starting up the show as well? They already have two competing singing contests.

I think she would do great as a mentor just due to the fact shes been there and experienced it with AI. So no one knows what singing contestants go throught than her.
