curious did the dog stop skipping after the patella issue was resolved? I have a Bichon that skips with one leg (not the other) but he only does it when he's being naughty (like he has snatched something he shouldn't have) and I've always thought it was like he was saying ha ha......

It is likely your dog has a slipping knee cap and may be in pain, I would urge you to take advise from a vet
