ONE OF THE FINEST 'MODERN' SCI-FI FILMS OF ALL TIME. YOU COMBINE CHARLTON HESTON [A TRUE LEGEND] WITH AN UNBELIEVABLY GREAT SOUNDTRACK AND VOILA! THIS IS A TRUE CLASSIC IN EVERY SENSE. TOO BAD THERE ARE NO MORE CHARLTON HESTONS OR IMAGINATIVE PEOPLE TO MAKE GOOD FILMS ANYMORE. THEY ALL SUCK!

that thing ! [creature] caught in a place he cant stir from in the dark/nothing to live for but his memories,, his cars ,guns ,gadgets ,gimmicks and yet the whole family cant bring him down....this is excellent writing..telling the story in a single excellent speech.....

Poignant score pieces from an excellent (and poignant) movie. Anthony Zerbe's Mathias and his articulate 'The Family' Cult and opposition to Heston's Neville is what really makes it a sort of great movie.

@oldschoolhero2006 Hear ,Hear ! Chuck was a great actor and American and "The Omega Man is in so many ways superior to the recent sequel "I am Legend". Ron Grainer's soundtrack is magnificent.

This would be a good Movie-Combination, if at the End of "Planet of the Apes" Charlton Heston would ride into the forbidden Zone, and then the Story of the Omega Man begins. But the Name of the Character of Charlton Heston has to be changed into only one Name: "Taylor" or "Robert Neville". Maybe I will make this Video-Cut one day, if I have Time for doing that. This will be a very interresting Work for me :-)

great score, great movie. more beleivable than will smith's. just better.
