  • Demoniac wasn't a nazi band (though it wouldn't matter to me if they were). The Stormblade album has racist lyrics, but I think that was the fault of the drummer at the time. As for the quality of the music, Demoniac was amazing. It's really a shame that DF put TTFAF on guitar hero, because they're pandering to Slipknot kids.

  • lol, Got shiny blue shit! Hate the tune tho :(

  • If you followed the tutorial on converting them.

  • Plus, its worth adding - just listen to them! They were completely removed from black metal by this point, let alone NSBM and there is next to no way I can imagine the NSBM scene embracing them (for the record, it didn't and hasn't). Also, the lyric is "we are the leaders of the Reich" not "demons of the Reich" - A slight change but an important one as "demons of the Reich" gives off a very different effect!

  • Fair enough - however whether or not they are "sub-par" is 100% subjective - and NS stands for National Socialist, not 'Neo' Socialist. Yeah I can see how some of their lyrics could be taken as racist, but only if taken out of context - and only about 3 lines of lyrics from their entire discography. The 'racist' stuff was generally a friendly wind up towards the German metal scene at the time. If they were NSBM they would not hide the fact - NSBM bands never do.

  • I dont really make it a point to follow sub par bands. If you look at the lyrics though there are some Neo Socialist overtones on many songs. If its meant to be taken tongue-in-cheek, then its completely different. But from the lyrics it appears, on the surface at least, to be NS.

  • Don't want to argue but - If you look into the ideals behind NSBM you will see that it is very different to Demoniacs lyrics, which were always meant tounge in cheek - if you followed the band when they were active then you would remember them talking about how the whole thing was just a pisstake and wasn't serious. Unfortunately when Dragonforce got big the PC brigade starting asking stupid questions about Demoniac and this is what happens, they get labelled as NSBM. Ridiculous at best.

  • Demoniac never were an NSBM band - and they definately weren't by the point Herman joined

  • I still laugh at the concept of an Asian in a NSBM band.

  • thanks for adding this on my bday
