ur getting it all wrong. mgs1 is solid snake. mgs2 is not snake. the story is revolved around raiden. mgs3 is the only one that has naked snake (big boss) as the main character (besides the psp games). mgs4 has solid snake. (btw, the franchise is based around solid snake (voiced by david hayter) as the main character.

@protomous Substance had some added bonus games and stuff. the main game is the same though.
Also originally Sons of Liberty only came out for the only for the PS2. Substance came out for PS2, XBOX and PC.
