Xeon vs. i7 on HOME USE Machines w/ Cool Music

This video was intended in all aspects to be a part of a Youtube hot topic a few months back debating why somebody would buy a Mac Pro as opposed to a regular i7 PC. This debate did not necessarily involve industrial or high-level work environments, but rather personal computing.

The industrial level Xeon 5500 series processor, found in the current Mac Pro and other such workstations, is out-performed by the regular consumer i7 processor found in a "cheap Walmart PC" for $1000.

So wait, I can buy a computer better then a Mac Pro for the same money I would spend just buying a single processor for the Mac alone??? Oh god, somebody screwed up the math here.

In here nearly all people are fool.Becouse you must know what i need before buy Xeon or I7.there is no best in here.If i need a server computer you must need Xeon but if you are need Game performance or other things best pne is I7

@brianbuckler If it supports 32 gigs of RAM, then it won't fry, simple as that. Most high-end PC desktops only support 24, but workstations go way higher that the Mac Pros (I've seen up to 128).

There are flaws in your argument. Like plastic. I own a Macbook Pro, and it is NOT nearly as great of a build as you fanboys claim. Also, it was made in China, like most Apple products.

But generally, a high-end PC can dish more horsepower than a Mac Pro in the same price range, by far.

The benchmarks are lies the Xeon is superior to the i7 if it weren't every server in the world with intel processors would have i7's instead of Xeons. The only server I've ever seen with an i7 is the mac mini server and it is the size of a stand alone cd drive.
