I will attempt to explain before the next one of you comments about Optimus being a mindless machine is lame. It's not supposed to be Optimus. It was a body intended to revive Optimus after he died, but was stolen by the Decepticons and wasn't found until episode 10 or 11 of Masterforce. Go figure.
