Denny Hamlin gets his chance and doesn't break his promise, as he intentionally spins out Brad Keselowski after he got tired of Brad spinning him out in the past. NASCAR got mad and black flagged Hamlin, possibly ruining his chances of winning the race.

  • i love rivalries like this...this is why people want to watch the Busch series more than the Cup series. Sunday is gonna suck so much for the fans and nascar as jimmie johnson will prolly win his 4th straght title when in actuallity he should be winning his second....Fuck The Chase!!

  • I absolutely agree. But once the Nationwide Series switches over to the COT full time, it will be boring too. I love to watch the Nationwide Series, but soon, NASCAR won't be any worth watching anymore.

  • True, but the COT's for the Nationwide Series actually look like cars, not half cars, half discombobulated transformers like in the Cup Series lol. I wish the Cup Series would make the transition to the Nationwide COT's!

  • Yeah, they LOOK great, but from what I know from the Cup Series, they will most likely lessen the level of excitement. The old cars were more entertaining and fun to watch and drive.

  • If Brad didn't get penalized for what he did the week before, then Denny shouldn't have been penalized for what he did. Same thing with Juan Pablo Montoya vs Tony Stewart! if tony wasn't gonna get penalized for cutting jpm's tire, sending him into the wall, jom shouldn't have been penalized!

  • my last comment had exactly 500 characters (the limit) just sayin'

  • @emilyieatcookiesbilo i beg to differ. hamlin has never missed the chase, and although he did struggle in 2011, he almost won the 2010 championship. and keselowski is probably just a one year wonder who will end up about 20th in the standings for the rest of his career. the only reason finished fifth in 2011 was because he did so well in the summer, and ran 15th through most of the chase while guys like johnson, hamlin, and kyle busch struggled, allowing keselowski to pass them in the standings.

  • @ericstranne Brad did nothing intentional. Denny just happened to be the guy Brad hit. Denny shouldn't have SAID he was gonna do it but the fact that he did made this even better.

I'm a huge fan of both these drivers. They're my top 2 favorite and I love that they had a rivalry.

  • yyyeeesss! :-) X(

  • I wish Denny would've gotten an awful finish as a result of this penalty that day.

  • i don't think he should have got the one lap penalty, he should have been parked (and the car parked too) for a few weeks.

  • Paul Wolfe was Denny's crew cheif.

    Ironic.

  • "boys have at it"

  • He barely even touched him. If this wasn't a known rivalry you'd just say Keselowski got wide n Hamlin rubbed up on him...

  • the only reason hamlin got black flaged was because the week before he called out what he was gonna do and followed through with it. Same thing with Harvick back in 02 in the truck race at martinsville.
