ZAYANTE

(Español mas abajo) Composed and performed on the Paraguayan harp by ALFREDO ROLANDO ORTIZ. Original solo harp piece, included in my CD "Serenata." Music included in one of my books. A version with orchestra, titled "PARAGUAYA" is the last movement of my South American Suite for harp and orchestra. Zayante is the name of an indigenous tribe that used to live in the area of Santa Cruz, California.

@valdovinosleo Hola. Lamentablemente no conozco profesores de arpa en Modesto. Es posible que ejecutantes de arpa clásica en el área conozcan a alguien. le recomiendo que pregunte en un college o universidad en su área en el departamento de música y tl vez pueden ponerlo en contacto con un profesor de arpa. buena suerte.

haha, I'm playing this too, I wanted to hear it, so I know what it is supposed to sound like. I get a bit depressed, this is about 3 times faster then the way I play it... Fantastic!!

Hi ixje72. Thanks so much for playing my music! Please, do not worry about the speed, just enjoy it at the speed you can. After all I always tell my students that the only way to learn to play "faster" is to practice "slowlier" (yes, I know that word is wrong BUT it is easy to remember the secret of it all! Un cordial saludo desde venezuela! maestro! cuando en mi niñez escuche por primera vez el pajaro campana, descubri que era el arpa el intrumento que queria aprender a tocar! Aunque mi estilo ahora es el criollo llanero y mi arpa no es paraguaya, aveces intento tocar su musica que me facina!! y no lo hago tan mal! eh!!  Que Dios le Bendiga!
