Bio: Silvia Federici is Emerita Professor in Political Philosophy and International Studies at Hofstra University and a longtime feminist activist and writer. She is the author of many essays on feminist theory, women and globalization, and feminist struggles. Her published work includes Caliban and the Witch: Women, the Body, and Primitive Accumulation; A Thousand Flowers: Social Struggles Against Structural Adjustment in African Universities (co-editor); and Enduring Western Civilization: The Construction of the Concept of the West and its 'Others' (editor).
