We in the U.S. don't have anything to worry about. These programs are just fear tactics and trust me, we are not worried about it at all. El Hierro isn't shit! It has been slowly erupting but doesn't seem to be anything to fear.

I'm not buying this whole 12/21/12 crap but a mega tsunami super disaster to the US and pretty much all of the Atlantic surrounding land masses COULD occur at any time, so it deserves a close eye.

@TommyKimball1: It certainly deserves attention because while I won't say it's certain, a scenario like this is VERY likely and could occur disturbingly soon. Let's just watch out.

@Hexestar: St Helens has already exploded more than 30 years ago but Yellowstone would be a MAJOR disaster. More than half the US could be covered in ash.

This is gonna be bad...I live in South Florida, I'm screwed if this happens. I would really like to see a moderate tsunami, the size of California's tsunami after the Japan Earthquake, come here. Rather exciting while not causing TOO much damage but much of the immediate coastline could suffer decent water damage anyways. But a mega-tsunami...be careful with that. Oh well
