@ReverendSteelyGlint Name was takin from a video game of the same name, it meant nothing; though they liked to keep that somewhat secret. I was fortunate to seem them a few times just before and after this album. SNFU with the Smalls opening: there will never again be shows that good.

Most people seem to think the SNFU stands for 'Society's No Fucking Use' but it sounds like the Vietnam era military acronym SNAFU too ('Situation Normal: All Fucked Up'). Maybe related? Plus the appeal of an acronym band name is surely that you can change what it stands for or keep people guessing.
