he's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar. ep. 7

I have a sick, twisted feeling in the pit of my stomach. I didnt even want to go to school today. And im pretty sure you know why. I sighed. I already know whats going to happen. Joe will be standing beside my locker. Then hell tell me about how great his date with taylor was last night. And that shes now his girlfriend. But its not joes fault that Im feeling like this. Its mine. I should have never fallen for him in the first place. But I cant control what my heart wants, right?
"stay strong ,okay?" selena said. I looked up and saw joe. And just as I predicted, he was leaning against my locker with the biggest smile on his face.
"guys! You will not believe what happened last night! It was the best night of my life! Oh and by the way, shes my girlfriend!" joe beamed.
"thats..... great!" I forced myself to be enthusiastic about his news but it obviously didnt work.
"you dont seem to be too happy about it." He remarked.
"are you kidding me? of course im happy! You know what? We should celebrate tonight." I suggested as a fake smile spread across my face.
"uhm.. as much as I want to, I cant. Me and taylor are going on another date." He explained.
"oh." Disappointment flooded all over me.
"you okay?" he asked.
"uhm.. yeah. Im fine. I just have to get to class. Dont wanna be late." I gave a small laugh under my breath.
"the bell hasnt even rung yet. Are you sure youre okay?" he raised an eyebrow at me.
"yes. Cmon selena." I grabbed onto selenas arm, dragging her away with me, leaving joe behind.
"demi.. "selena began.
"I'll be okay." I insisted, but a tear suddenly dropped from my eye. I quickly wiped it away.
She pulled me into a tight hug.
"he doesnt know what hes missing out on. Taylor is nice but if joe thinks that she is better than you, then he is just plain stupid." she said. I giggled. She always knows how to cheer me up.
"lets just go to class."
After hours of boring lessons that I wasnt even paying attention to, the bell finally rang for lunch. Selena and I grabbed our things. Then head out to the cafeteria. We sat down at our usual table. selena was asking me what Id like to eat, when I saw joe and taylor. He had his arms wrapped around her. Figures. Selena followed my gaze. Her mouth shaped in a small O.
"look away." she said. I obeyed her. I looked down at our lunch table, playing with my fingers.
Just then, joe appeared in front of us.
"hey guys, Ill be sitting with taylor today, 'kay?"
Selena and I both nodded.
I dont know why but I feel like something bad is going to happen.
