Screw telling this kid to "Deflate his head" I haven't heard someone that young wail like that since Eric Darius was on the local news around here (Tampa Bay) as a kid. He can't be any more than 16

when i played it in provincial honour jazz we took it slower, i think it's a lot more musical slower, but like 114% harder at this tempo. tenor with one eyebrow has some sick hops, needs to deflate his head a bit. you're not brecker.

tempo smempo. it sounded great. there ain't no "supposed to be" in jazz. i liked the fast click, made it jump.

really fast.
were playing this in our high school jazz band and were playing it at about 100, which is still faster than written.
but it sounds really good this fast.
