  • As an NYC Pedicab Driver I found this to be quite informative. Please post more videos as to how to avert Assault from Taxi Drivers. Also, A post on how to counter Horse and Carriage driver attacks might be helpful. Be mindful, they strike from above and can use their horses as animal shields to block counter punches. Thanks.

  • Great video. We're having a good time with the other video on Sherdog.

It was refreshing to see at least a little technique in the flood of street fight videos I see all the time.

It was even better to see an intelligent break down of the "fight" and how each person could have better defended themselves.

  • wait until NYPD shows up? LOL>... pardon guys, but that big guy could've picked you(guy on guard) up off the ground and kept smashing your back and head on the asphalt. I think advising people in a street fight where ANYTHING can happen to fight like you're in a ring is a bad idea.

  • A lot of sarcasm here

  • I'm planning to start working as a rickshaw on weekends. Thank you for this video a lot, I'm practicing this moves now with my friends, so I'm prepared for taxi drivers attacks!

  • Awesome video!!

you guys should go over the BubbleBoy Neighbor fight.

"Balloon Boy Neighbor Fistfights with Media Outside Richard Heene's Home" is the title of it.

  • Theres a video by TYT that also shows the video of the fight. Maybe u can reply to that one.

  • I could not agree more. reasonable force applies in defense as well. That's all I'm saying.

  • Criminal and employment.

Breaking an arm is not always going to be a problem. What if there is more than one person?

What if the person is obviously drunk/drugged out and can not simply be controlled? What if they would become dangerous if not incapacitated in some way?

I can hold an arm bar position for a while, but not against a larger person engulfed in a drug induced rage spiral.

You certainly may get arrested, but any competent defense attorney (they do exist) would knock this out.

  • Intelligently defending yourself is only allowed up until the threat is stopped. Holding someone in an armbar position can be a time hold...but finishing the armbar to cause elbow extension damage is completely different. ESPECIALLY if you are a martial artist and you are fighting just some regular joe. The "control" and "Judgement" falls on the martial artists...what kind of law do you practice? corporate? copyright?
