So Long Ago (A 21st Century Christmas Carol)
Written By: R.J. Miller
So long ago and so far away
Soon to give birth with no place to stay
A virgin had pains in a bedding of hay
So long ago and so far away
So long ago and so far away
A Baby wrapped tight in cloth were he lay
The Sheppard's sign was given this way
So long ago and so far away
So long ago and so far away
A star in the sky showed three men the way
Perfumes and Gold respect they did pay
So long ago and so far away
So long ago and so far away
The path of mankind was altered that day
Praise filled the heavens the host had their say
So long ago and so far away
So long ago and so far away
Emanuel became the way
The wages of sin he was there to pay
So long ago and so far away
So long ago and so far away
Good news of great is joy given this day
When you meet Christ it's like yesterday
So long ago and so far away
Well it has all the written elements just none of the musical sophistication of a classic Christmas carol. It was a bit of a challenge to write a song with all "A" rymes without being too "redundant".

Proverbs 14:4
P.S. You would think I'd prof my credits befor I save as a movie, but NOOOOOOOOO! It should read "Nativity" Set design by Anna C. Miller.(I helped my Grandma paint mutiple sets of those back in winter of '83)
Heartfelt lyrics....musical sophistiation will come. Merry Christmas my friend!
