Hi.... I'm not sure what you mean. DVDs require MPEG-2 files and your DVD making software makes them from your input files. If you mean from Movie Maker, DV-AVI is usually the best choice.

Vista is Windows... if you don't have the Ultimate or Home Premium version of Vista, than no... there's not a stand-alone downloadable package for other versions of Windows.
