  • Unamplified and sublime!

  • If this doesn't get you a little bit, you should check with your cardiologist.

  • She just can't do it like Streisand can!

  • I agree with your comment. If this song doesn't get to you, you should check with your cardiologist to see if you have a heart.

  • This version always brings a tear to my eye!

  • She casts a spell..

  • Check out her early album "from the heart" which is a compilation of Rogers and Hart songs, really terrific.

  • After hearing about a 1000 versions of this song, this one actually makes sense of the lyrics.Stunning.

  • "Why Did I Choose You" is from the ill-fated musical THE YEARLING, not from FUNNY GIRL.

  • I never knew that a. this song was in the Broadway show and that b. Funny Girl was its replacement. I actually like the song Funny Girl, but if I had to choose, I would have chosen "Why Did I Choose You." It's just beautiful. I can't even remember if she sang it in any of her concerts (besides the one in Central Park!)

  • Why the hell did Streisand decide to throw this great tune under the train for that stupid song "Funny Girl"? And, yes, she did so make the final call as to what she sang in the movie. Worse, she threw out "Cornet Man" for "Roller Skate Rag."
