SVO, WVO, Grease, Cooking Oil, Veggie... it goes by many names. Collect the right stuff and you're looking at free fuel for any diesel engine! Where do you find it, what do you look for, let's take a look!

I hear ya, but waste oils here have to be accompanied by paper work etc.
new oil is renewable still. carbon neutral.
also making biodiesel requires a lot of heat, using untreated waste oil is nasty for seals in pump etc.

@tpvalley The idea of a grease car is to create use for an already abundant substance. Buying commerical veggie oil instead of WVO and filling your car up not only creates more demand for this commercial product, but also adds more waste to your total output. All those 1 liter plastic bottles have to go somewhere. Be part of the solution not the problem!

I suggest you go to fast food restaurants that routinely fry with vegetable oil. In California, I recommend Panda Express and In-N-Out Burger as well as Baja Fresh. They buy their oil from the same source and quality is consistent.

sometimes it's better to ask forgiveness than to ask for permission.

I used to buy new veg oil, it was half price of diesel, but supermarkets caught on and doubled price!
They got sick of folk filling up on veg and leaving many 1 litre bottles in trolleys/ shopping carts I guess, although I took my rubish home.
